Fang Xinlihua successfully participated in the pilot test of desulfurization and denitrification of flue gas from Tangshan Dafeng coke oven

On November 26-27, 2014, the "Coke Oven Gas Desulfurization and Denitration Technology Seminar" was held in Tangshan, sponsored by the Coking Chemistry Branch of the Chinese Society of Metals and organized by MCC Jiaonai Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. According to the "Emission Standards for Pollutants in the Chemical Industry of Coking" (GB 16171-2012) implemented in 2012, coking enterprises must reach the new pollution control level before January 1, 2015. Faced with the approaching implementation period of new pollutant emission limits, new flue gas treatment projects such as coke oven flue gas desulfurization and denitrification have been put on the agenda of many coking enterprises. On this occasion, various enterprises and institutions actively participated in the meeting, with over 230 representatives from more than 70 coking plants across the country attending.

Li Chao, Deputy General Manager of MCC Jiaonai, delivered the opening speech. Cui Pijiang, President of the China Coking Industry Association, and Xing Guojun, Deputy Director of the Tangshan Environmental Protection Bureau, warmly congratulated the convening of the meeting and expressed sincere hope. At the meeting, MCC Jiaonai introduced the coke oven flue gas desulfurization and denitrification process jointly developed with Anhui Tongxing Environmental Protection Engineering Co., Ltd., Beijing Fangxin Lihua Technology Co., Ltd., and South Korea Nanotechnology Co., Ltd.

There are no practical applications of desulfurization and denitrification in coke oven flue gas within the scope. As a leading enterprise in the coking industry design field, MCC Jiaonai focuses directly on flue gas desulfurization and denitrification technology within its scope, and combines the characteristics of coke oven flue gas to find targeted solutions: adopting the coke oven flue gas desulfurization and denitrification integrated process, organically combining coke oven flue gas desulfurization technology with denitrification technology, first efficient desulfurization, and then medium and low temperature efficient denitrification.

In early July 2014, the cooperating parties conducted a pilot experiment on desulfurization and denitrification of coke oven flue gas at Tangshan Dafeng Coking Plant. Breakthroughs have been made so far, and three different types of desulfurization technologies and two denitrification processes have been successfully developed, achieving the pilot experiment goals.

Experimental scale, 25000~40000 m3/h coke oven flue gas; Smoke temperature, 180-280 ℃. The pilot experiment data is as follows.

Fluidized dry powder desulfurization: desulfurization efficiency of 80% to 85%;

Spray drying desulfurization: desulfurization efficiency is 83%~92%;

Rotary spray drying desulfurization: desulfurization efficiency is 88%~98%.

Medium temperature denitrification, dust removal, ammonia removal and thermal decomposition technology and process, catalyst denitrification efficiency: t=210~230 ℃, denitrification efficiency>65%; T>240 ℃, denitrification efficiency>85%.

Low temperature denitrification, dust removal, and thermal decomposition integrated technology and process: t>180 ℃, denitrification efficiency>90%.

The attending representatives visited the pilot test site of desulfurization and denitrification of coke oven flue gas at Tangshan Dafeng Coking Plant.

The representatives also consulted and warmly discussed the process flow, equipment structure, catalyst characteristics, operating conditions, production costs, and device investment.
